    Are you interested in building your Human Resources career with an International company?

    Based in either Montreal, QU or Toronto, ON, the Human Resources Manager will be a key partner in streamlining HR processes and driving strategic business initiatives across Canada. The right candidate is bilingual in French and English and demonstrates leadership in communicating business goals, programs, and processes. 



    • Act as a primary contact for day-to-day HR employee issues including: advising management on employee and labour relations issues, overseeing or conducting investigations, conflict resolution, creating and interpreting corporate policies and procedures, providing disciplinary letters/actions and supporting employee concerns
    • Involved with grievance management, collective bargaining, employment and labour policy development and labour strategy
    • Ensure all HR record, and new and existing policies comply with legislation and the collective agreement in place
    • Process all system based employee on-boarding, off-boarding and employee status changes.
    • Partner with Corporate HR functions and internal resources to execute enterprise-wide HR initiatives
    • Lead change by working with multiple teams to streamline HR processes and programs
    • Continually build on knowledge of the company and develop overall business acumen that allows for the development and implementation of innovative concepts, new ideas and a strong culture
    • Continually assess training needs; develop and coordinate training programs in conjunction with Managers; track and report training initiatives
    • Support managers and employees through career and development discussions, identify resources and provide employees with access to the information to help them grow and develop in their roles
    • Manage WCB, STD and LTD claims and other programs to ensure timely return to work
    • Ensure health and safety policies are up to date and adhered to and actively participate on the Joint Health and Safety Committee
    • Conduct exit interviews in French, monitor issues as they arise, and identify retention strategies

    Requirements & Qualifications / Exigences et qualifications

    Education & Experience

    • Bilingual in English and French with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
    • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Human Resources Management
    • Minimum 5 years’ progressive experience in Human Resources including experience working in a unionized environment
    • CPHR designation


    Skills & Knowledge

    • Ability to communicate and work effectively with all levels of the organization
    • Able to manage workflow; with minimal oversight, in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities
    • Excellent understanding of Canadian employment laws and compliance requirements
    • Strong working knowledge of computers including Microsoft Office
    • Knowledge of Workday system is considered an asset
    • Able to work both on a team (as member and/or leader) and independently to deliver results
